My fellow Amazon Prime members.

I have an important announcement to make on the eve of this all-important union vote in Bessemer, Alabama.

I am Trans.

As a Trans woman, I feel duty-bound to condemn the heteronormative demands that this unionization effort calls for. For instance, the demand for “usable bathrooms” at our facilities. Bathrooms are inherently problematic. What? with their arbitrary gender distinction signage on their doors. You know what does not have gender distinctions? A water bottle. Use that to pee into.

It is unbelievable to me that, in the 21st century, we can still be having this medieval debate. People should be able to pee in to whatever water bottle they want; poop into any bag they want, regardless of their chosen gender. We can do better. We must do better.

So, please. I call on all allies in both the LBGTQ and Amazon Prime communities to stand with me. Let us unit and resist the Toxic Culture of Unions.
